Preface
This book is a Bible devotional that takes you on a journey through the Hebrew alphabet, and the author’s experiences while seeking the God who created the Universe. It includes the stores of many other Christian lives as well. The most important task in life is discovering the purposes of the Creator. And the goal of this devotional seeking God's purpose until it results in a personal revival that you may journey towards your best in quality of relationship with Our Lord Christ.
Each of the short 22 chapters begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, then each chapter features a woman who has experienced the promises of God being fulfilled in her life, plus a little story from the author’s life. And each chapter is written from a different version of the Bible, because deeper understanding can be found by reading the different interpretations of those who have spent much time studying the Bible. They are as Mary at the feet of Our Lord Christ Jesus, as Mary, Martha’s sister, who was amongst Jesus’ best friends when He was here on this earth, (Luke 10:38-42; John 11:3). The author has found that even though the writings of ordinary people are no substitute of the Words of Jesus or the Bible itself, when Bible scholars work at translating the Bible with the hope of making true understanding easier, epiphanies can happen. And knowing God can become exciting and relevant. An explanation of what each Bible version can be found in the Addendum, at the end of the book.
This Hebrew alphabet is unique because it was designed as a teaching tool about God. It was designed by Moses, and from the beginning, thousands of years ago, he created them so that each letter is as a vessel whose meaning, shape, matching number share divine wisdom with everybody who will take the time and effort of being still from the busyness of life, and deeply studying them. The featured women are either from the Bible, historic figures, or modern people who are living today. The author’s stories are somehow related with the featured women’s. And the quotes from each translation point out something different than what other translations highlight.
May your relationship with God be revived with more of the Fruit of the Spirit than it was before, after reading this devotional.
